Affordable business cards are not hard to come by. There are even some companies that you can get a set of free business cards from and just pay shipping. However, the affordability often comes at a cost of less professional or fancy looking cards.
If you want cheap business cards, you will probably be able to choose from a few templates. Templates are useful if you don't have any design experience or do not want to design your own card. The cards will most likely use a few colors, with no embossing or metallic foil stamping. If this all you need, then a cheap business card will work great for you.
You can also always decide to print your own business cards. Printing your own usually looks a bit less professional than buying them printed and cut for you, though. When you print your business cards yourself, you'll be printing them on a sheet of cards that are connected together that you'll have to pull apart, or you may have to cut them apart yourself. If you pass out many cards in a short period of time, this could require a lot of extra time and effort that you could instead pay a company with a fast machine to do for you. Also, printing a lot of business cards with your home printer can eat up a lot of ink, depending on how many cards you'll be printing.
